I believe that we all have some measure of creativity in us as God says we are made in His image and He is the great Creator. In His infinite wisdom He didn't give us all the same measure of talent or the same gifts. It is the same in all other areas of our lives. But, I do feel that He fully expects us to discover, develop, and share whatever talent He has given us.
My goal is simply to express my love for God and His creation by painting the things that surround me. I paint from life the things that I have collected or that I use every day. I'm not big on wind, bugs, or sand, so I take and use a lot of reference photos for paintings of architecture, marsh, land, and seascapes. I love to use the vibrant colors inherent to the area. My mood sometimes dictates a realistic and other times a more contemporary painting.
My award winning work can be seen in many private and public collections in the United States, Canada, and Europe. When not out gathering reference material, I can be seen working in my Amelia Island studio.
